1. Name the product category and use
Specify keyboard, mouse, headset or combo, along with the sales channel and intended user. If you are evaluating an existing model, include its model number or a reference image.
2. Define the target market
List destination countries, sales channels, language needs and any known compliance requirements. Ask the supplier to confirm which documents apply to the exact product and market.
3. Specify the core configuration
For a keyboard, note layout, key count, switch, connection and keycap preferences. For a mouse, list shape, sensor expectations, DPI range and connection mode. For a headset, specify connector, microphone, driver preference and intended device compatibility.
4. Explain the private-label request
Describe logo placement, product color, package type, packaging language and artwork status. Attach artwork only through an appropriate business channel once the supplier confirms how files are handled.
5. Share quantity and timing assumptions
Give an estimated quantity or range and target launch date. Ask the factory to confirm MOQ, sample terms, production lead time and shipping assumptions for the specific model.
6. Request a written confirmation
Before approving a sample, ask for a model-specific specification sheet that records the configuration, included accessories, package contents and testing requirements.
