BUYER GUIDE / MICE

Compare the complete mouse configuration.

A practical gaming mouse sourcing checklist covering shape, sensor variants, connection, receiver, battery, software and sample evaluation.

Start with the user and sales channel

Define the intended users and whether the range is aimed at gaming, office work, travel or a combination. Record preferred size, button placement, handedness and weight range. Ask representative users to handle samples; an attractive shell photograph cannot tell you how a mouse fits different grips.

Make a short must-have list and a separate optional list. For example, distinguish an essential connection mode from an optional finish or lighting treatment. This helps suppliers propose a suitable version without quietly changing a requirement to meet a target price.

Compare the configuration behind each quotation

ItemRequestSample check
Sensor and buttonsExact sensor and switch options in the quoted SKUButton mapping, wheel operation and settings
ConnectionEach supported mode and receiver specificationPairing, reconnecting and switching modes
Polling settingsAvailable settings by mode and required receiverSelected settings on the intended computer
Battery and chargingCapacity, claimed runtime conditions and supplied cableCharging, indicators and low-battery behavior
PackageReceiver, cable, adapters, instructions and retail boxComplete contents and storage arrangement

Record the mode and receiver alongside performance settings. A feature listed for one variant should not automatically be added to another quotation that uses the same shell.

For a wired direction, review GM614 8-button gaming mouse and its listed DPI steps. For RF607, request matching product photos and a consistent configuration sheet before comparing connection, sensor or DPI claims.

Keep polling claims and observed behavior separate

Ask which polling settings are available in wired, receiver and Bluetooth modes, rather than assume one headline number applies to all of them. If a special receiver or software setting is needed, include it in both the bill of materials and the sample package.

For evaluation, record the computer, operating system, application, connection mode, firmware and chosen settings. Check normal operation, scrolling, button actions and reconnection. If you commission performance measurements, retain the method and results instead of turning an advertised reporting interval into an unsupported end-to-end latency claim.

Review usability and order consistency

Use several representative hands and the intended desk surfaces to assess grip, side-button reach and wheel feel. Ask for feedback after an agreed session rather than approve solely on first touch. Record any movement, clicking or comfort issue with the conditions in which it occurred.

Confirm the finish, logo, feet, receiver storage, packaging and accessories. Label the reference sample and specify which components cannot change without written approval. Use the sample approval guide to separate approved details from pending corrections.

For removable-battery directions, review GM633 and GM634 with the replacement and charging contents. For portable slide-cover use, check M006 in both its opened and closed forms before defining the retail package.

Prepare the mouse shortlist

Explore mouse sourcing options. If comparing GM635 or GM633, request the exact sensor, receiver, connection and battery configuration for your quotation. A model page is a starting point; the versioned specification should identify what your order includes.

Send the intended use, destination, quantity, preferred shape and weight, required modes, branding and accessory list through the RFQ template.

Practical questions

Can two mice with the same shell have different quotations?

Yes. Ask suppliers to identify the sensor, switches, receiver, battery, software and accessory configuration being quoted.

How should I compare battery claims?

Ask for the connection, lighting settings, usage assumptions and test method behind each claim, then agree a sample evaluation procedure.
